About these cameras
The Alpine Visitor Center camera is the headliner: at 11,796 feet on Trail Ridge Road it is among the highest webcams in the national park system, and its view goes from summer tundra to full winter whiteout across the year. Longs Peak — the park’s iconic 14er — and the Grand Lake entrance on the quieter west side round out the set.
Trail Ridge Road itself typically closes with the first serious autumn snow and does not fully reopen until late May; the Alpine Visitor Center camera is the honest indicator of where that seasonal line currently sits.
