Our Mission

Port of Cams exists to deliver authentic, real-time views of the world's most beautiful and dynamic places. We hand-curate every camera in the network — no broken streams, no dead links, no low-quality feeds. If it's on Port of Cams, it works, and it's worth watching.

Whether you're a traveler planning your next trip, a surfer checking Pipeline before the drive, a researcher watching Kīlauea's latest activity, or someone who just wants to watch the ocean for a while — we built this for you.

From the Curator

John · Founder, Port of Cams

I built Port of Cams myself, one camera at a time. I grew up in Alaska and live in Hawaii now, and both places taught me the same thing: a live view of the ocean, a volcano, or the northern sky is something you never get tired of. There are thousands of public webcams out there, but most directories are half-broken — dead links, frozen frames, feeds that loaded once in 2019. I wanted one place where every camera actually works.

So I check them. When a stream goes down, it gets pulled or fixed. When I find a great new view — a harbor in Southeast Alaska, a reef cam in Belize, a sunrise over Haleakalā — it goes in the network. If you have a camera you'd love to see added, or you run one you'd like to share with the world, I'd genuinely like to hear from you.
