California has over 800 miles of coastline, and thanks to Caltrans cameras, you can watch some of the most beautiful stretches live. We’ve curated 30 scenic highway cameras that go far beyond checking traffic — these are legitimate scenic views.
Lake Tahoe & the Sierra
Tahoe’s cameras show why this is one of America’s most beautiful lakes:
- SR-267 Tahoe Vista — north shore with mountain backdrop
- SR-89 Tahoe City — west shore views
- US-50 South Lake Tahoe — the main strip with mountain views
Best time: Winter for snow-capped peaks, summer for crystal blue water.
Malibu & Pacific Coast Highway
PCH through Malibu is one of the most iconic drives in the world. Our Caltrans cameras capture it live:
